WAPA’s 2008 AGM was held in Rhayader at the end of May and proved very informative. The guest speakers included Louise de Winter, the Director of the National Campaign for the Arts, Phil George, the Chair of the National Theatre of Wales and Lyn Summers, the civil servant seconded to the Heritage Ministry to advise on framing legislation on statutory Local Authority arts provision. All three had many interesting points to make and were informative speakers.
The Association also resolved to liaise further with Creu Cymru and a Conference to examine areas of mutual interest is to be organised later in the year.
