WAPA has beemn asked to give oral evidence to the Communities and Culture Committee’s Review into the state of the arts in Wales. This will take place on Wednesday 6th October at 9.30.

WAPA welcomes the WAG’s Legislative Competence Order
WAPA has written to support the Assembly Government’s initiative through subordinate legislation and new powers to introduce mandatory support for arts and culture provision by local authorities. WAG are currently consulting on the nature of the legislation and that process ends on September 4th. In general however this is a welcome move which should lead to better and more well supported local authority support.
